Hello Everyone!!
Sorry it has taken me so long to put this post up. Due to many reasons it has taken me this long to actually see the movie but I hope you like what I have to say.
Before I get into the actual movie I just want to say that my best wishes and thoughts go out to all the families effected by what happened at the Midnight screening of this movie in Aurora.
Ok so to begin with what an entrance from the new villain Bane, until he speaks.... I'm sorry but his voice, to me it sounded like a cross between Darth Vader and Patrick Stewart, not really suiting to how he looks. I will admit I did laugh a little when he first spoke. But after a bit I did kind of get over it you just kind of deal with the fact that thats the voice it isn't going to change.
So all in all the first event of the film grips you into the story you meet the villain he kicks some butt then we go to Gotham where everyone hates Batman and loves Harvey Dent they have even named the day of his death Harvey Dent Day. This bit i did like for obvious reasons that it instantly reminds of the end of Dark Knight, so for people that haven't seen it for a while will remember what Batman did for Gotham.
8 years have passed since the Joker and for all the 'obvious reasons' Bruce Wayne has decided to lock himself away from the entire city wallowing in self pity and becoming the main subject to peoples rumours. (Bring in the lovely Alfred) Now i love Alfred he is the voice of reason and the father figure how can you not love this lovely, wise man. In my opinion Michael Caine did an awesome job in this movie. He made me smile and almost cry ( and I mean almost I'm not one to cry at movies not even really really sad ones). Unfortunately though you don't see him that much (sad times) for reasons that I'm not going to say just in case some of you have not seen it yet. But it did make me go NO!!! in my head. The small amounts he is in it though they were mainly very heart felt words of wisdom there were some slightly amusing lines but not as much as i would have expected from Alfred.
The comedic lines came from the lovely Ann Hatherway Who of course was playing the awesome Selina Kyle ( my favourite Batman character) I must admit she had some good one liners and she kicked arse. I mean come on at one point she uses a guy as a human shield, A HUMAN SHIELD! which is my definition of kick arse. She was funny, sexy, seductive and well worthy of playing Catwomen. (She is now in my top 3 sorry Michelle Pfeiffer) Her costume was incredibly tight well done to her for getting in and out of it and not fainting ( I wouldn't be able to) and the best thing about her costume was of course the goggles, that when put on her head turns them into ears (AWESOME). For those of you very few people they may not have seen her outfit here it is..
.
There are a few new main characters in the movie besides Bane and also some old ones (hello Scarecrow awesome to see you again). We have Mirander (Marion Cotillard) which to be completely honest came out of no where. There is no explanation as to where she came from and how she came to be on the Wayne Enterprises board, and apparently Bruce Wayne's love interest ( come one people back stories are needed with things like this 8 years have past) although later on some things are explained.
But yeah I digress the other new addition is Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) a cop and orphan who does have a back story (yay) but annoys me for this one reason, he knew that Bruce was Batman by his eyes yes his eyes... I'm sorry but in the comics and other films plus TVseries so it is widely known that Bruce is the master of disguise and acting no one has ever found out or realised that Bruce Wayne is Batman as quickly has Blake did (by his EYES ) urghhhh that just really annoyed me.
So what are my thoughts on the movie as a whole, believe it or not by the rest of my ranting I did really enjoy this movie there were some good fight scenes although the final fight between Bruce and Bane was disappointing and Bane deserved a better death. There was loads of explosions, funny bits, sad bits, good acting and it kept you entertained. The ending I thought couldn't have been done any better i loved it, so many unexpected twists and turns. The story comes to a close and the trilogy is complete. In my opinion it was a great ending to Nolan's films and I can't pick out of the three of them which is my favourite they were all so different from each other so there is no way I am going to compare the 3.
So yes I enjoyed it I recommend it if you liked the other 2 films and love batman as much as me. Yes of course there are flaws but if i can look past them i'm sure you can to. Thanks for reading and by next post will be about TED so watch this space it will be up soon :)
